12 Feb Westrock brings in build to rent management ahead of national launch
Westrock has appointed a residential management operator on four of its schemes as it gets ready to unveil next month Britain’s first, truly national build to rent brand.
With a focus on providing premium residences and a customer centric service to tech-savvy professionals, Westrock has appointed leading residential manager LIV to manage lettings, move-ins, on-site concierge, communal facilities, and general building/estate management.
Westrock’s next building to open will be in Bracknell, which sits directly above the Berkshire town’s train station. Set to open at the start of May, it will be followed by another three schemes less than a month later.
A key part of the service offer will be integrated facilities for its residents, encouraging them to make connections within the building, helping ensure they stay for years rather than months.
Westrock is transforming the housing market with some of the first homes built specifically for long term rent. Their buildings are thoughtful in design, with smart technology incorporated throughout. True to the lifestyle-enhancing philosophy of the brand, the city-centre properties boast a wide array of amenities including concierge, gyms, residents’ lounges, roof terraces, and more, which the company believes will set new standards in its regional locations where they are based.
LIV has developed a fully holistic management service and operates across multiple sites nationwide with over 11,000 units under management. It will manage Westrock’s properties located across Bedford, Bracknell, Crawley, and Stevenage.
Dominic Martin, operations and strategy director at Westrock, said:
“Our aim is to transform the market by providing something completely different to what renters in the regions are used to. To differentiate our offering from what’s currently on the market, an experienced consumer-facing team is therefore vital – they will be the first point of contact for residents and the ‘face’ of the company. LIV’s extensive experience in managing build to rent schemes will be a big asset.”
Graham Bates, chief executive officer at LIV Group, said:
“Westrock’s offer will be totally new in each of its locations which suffer from a genuine lack of quality rented accommodation. We are incredibly excited and proud to be working with them as they role out their brand.”
