PLATFORM_ to ‘reimagine renting’ in Bracknell with town’s first homes designed for rent

Hard-pressed renters in Bracknell get a boost with the launch of the town’s first homes designed specifically for renting.

PLATFORM_, the UK’s first nationwide rental brand, has opened its newest scheme in Bracknell this month.

The 87-apartment building sits immediately above the Berkshire town’s train station, offering excellent transport links to Reading and London Waterloo, appealing to both commuters and locals alike.

PLATFORM_, incubated by international real estate and development company Westrock, is delivering the first purpose-built homes for private rent in Bracknell.

Residents will benefit from high-tech, new build apartments alongside a wealth of facilities and they will be benefiting from a professionally managed service, raising the bar for the local rental market.

Boasting a range of on-site amenities, including a residents’ lounge, rooftop terrace, double height hotel-style lobby, and car/bicycle parking and served by an on-site concierge, PLATFORM_ aims to appeal to time-poor young professionals and other renters all frustrated by the traditional buy-to-let offer.

One of the first post-war “new towns”, Bracknell has benefitted from a wave of investment in recent years. The Lexicon, one of the biggest town centre regeneration projects in the UK, completes in spring 2017 and residents will benefit from new shops, bars and restaurants, offering the best of urban living.

PLATFORM_ has focused so far exclusively on regional markets where there is a distinct lack of quality rental homes. Taking advantage of new planning regulations to quickly transform redundant commercial buildings, PLATFORM_ is helping to bring in new investment, create thriving communities and regenerate tired town centres across the country.

PLATFORM_ now has five schemes – in Bedford, Bracknell, Crawley, Exeter and Stevenage – totalling near 600 homes, all going live in 2016. The company will now be looking to acquire sites with new-build potential, while maintaining its commitment to key commuter towns and employment hubs.

The Bracknell scheme will have an open day on 30th July with rents ranging from £850pcm for a studio, £895pcm for a one-bed apartment and £995pcm for a two-bedroom apartment.

Dominic Martin, operations and strategy director at Westrock, the developer behind PLATFORM_, said:

“We’re proud to open our latest project in Bracknell. We are confident that the high quality apartments with these fantastic facilities, as well as the on-site concierge will appeal to renters looking for the best of town centre living.”

“The launch at Bracknell is a key part of PLATFORM_’s ongoing strategy to reimagine renting in towns and cities across the country.”
